Skiing with DSUSA

It has been five years since I have been skiing. I skied 3 days a week in highschool and every friday during the season in college. Each season it would get progressively harder to walk on the ice and carry my gear to the slopes until I gave it up and called it a loss.

One of my friends, Matt, works for Disabled Sports USA Far West (http://www.dsusafw.org) and suggested that I try the ski program. I was a little nervous, didn't know what to expect but my instructor, Jan, made me feel comfortable and I had a lot of fun. When I started sliding down the hill it all came back to me, it was like riding a bike. Obviously I am not shredding the steep and deep (and I look like a goof) but DSUSA helped me get out there to find out that I will be skiing in some capacity as long as I want.

I just blogged about skiing too! Sit-down skiing, but still awesome. Glad you had fun!

Great video! Go Kyle! It was nice to meet you in person tonight. You have such a cool family and I love knowing and working with your mom. When you write on your blog, I hear a little of her voice too... Mel
